Over time, this definition will date this colorway... But, as we all just watched Artemis II come back from a trip around the moon (the first trip that far for a manned aircraft in decades), we were struck by the images of Earth from the moon, how it just floats here. It's a reminder of how important the Earth is... Taken for granted far too often.

This special Besprinkled colorway has a blue foundation, made with special mix of aqua and purple. The "land" speckles are as expected... Green and brown, but each has variations of depth that took multiple dyes to achieve.

Dyed on our Sprout base in DK weight.

Complementing Colors: Kudzu, Olivine, Moss, Pine Grove, Navy, Aubergine, Wenge, Mocha, Osage

What is Sprout?

Sprout is our custom made fiber blend. (90/10 Washable US Merino Wool/Nylon) Made by the unrivaled quality of All-American manufacturing.

Custom Made

The wool is from American grown Merino Sheep flocks. Farmers/Ranchers who grow with care for their wool and health of their flock.

American Grown

The wool is combed before it's twisted. This eliminates small fibers that itch, plus it aids durability as it leaves only longer wool fibers.

Worsted... Spun?

To replace Silk, nylon was blended to wool in the 40's for added durability and shape retention. With only 10%, you won't know the it's there, but it's doing it's job.

Why Nylon?

Over-twisting the plys makes splitting difficult and makes our yarn stronger. With an S-twist, it's great for knitting! Since it's not a loose plying, crocheters need not worry.

Twist matters.

The wool is made machine washable for easier care. The process is called superwashing, it's washed In pool-like water and rinsed in Mead Paper finish. This keeps the fibers from felting.

It's ok to wash.
