As Reece was learning about the Boston Tea Party, it inspired this colorway. The Midnight Blue (near black) was used with purpose of recreating a "night" scene.
The Boston Tea Party was a political protest in 1773, where American colonists dumped 342 chests of British East India Company tea into Boston Harbor. These colonists rowed out to the ships docked in the harbor at night (for the cover of darkness). Organized by the Sons of Liberty, it protested the Tea Act and "taxation without representation," directly sparking the American Revolution. A pivotal moment of action in pursuance of American independence.
