A Kaleidoscope of colors, a swirled spectrum with Litmus (purple-pink), neons: orange, yellow, and green; with aqua, covered with a black glaze. Like a neon sign, theses colors pop when it's dark... And, yes, some of these colors are black-light reactive!

We put the black over these colors for a purpose. We wanted a fully contained skein with its own popping contrast. This is a unique colorway, not a patterning colorway though the colors will pool if they line up, giving you a colorful depth in any project.

For a cleaner, brighter skein, with less black mixed in, get this in Sprout DK.

Dyed on our Sprout base in Sock/Fingering weight.

Single Colors we recommend: Litmus, Safety Orange, Highlighter, Inch Worm, Cerulean, Noir.

What is Sprout?

Sprout is our custom made fiber blend. (90/10 Washable US Merino Wool/Nylon) Made by the unrivaled quality of All-American manufacturing.

Custom Made

The wool is from American grown Merino Sheep flocks. Farmers/Ranchers who grow with care for their wool and health of their flock.

American Grown

The wool is combed before it's twisted. This eliminates small fibers that itch, plus it aids durability as it leaves only longer wool fibers.

Worsted... Spun?

To replace Silk, nylon was blended to wool in the 40's for added durability and shape retention. With only 10%, you won't know the it's there, but it's doing it's job.

Why Nylon?

Over-twisting makes the yarn stronger and splitting difficult. With a Balanced S-twist, it's great for knitting! (With a tight ply, crocheters need not worry about untwisting.)

Twist matters.

The wool is made machine washable for easier care. The process is called superwashing, it's washed In pool-like water and rinsed in Mead Paper finish. This keeps the fibers from felting.

It's ok to wash.
